We hope everyone enjoyed an eventful few days with Father’s Day Breakfast, Battle of the Saints and of course Father’s Day itself rounding out a great weekend.
Attendance at Father’s Day breakfast was fantastic and the day ran smoothly with much fun had amongst Dads, their children, father figures and even some grand dads. Thanks to all helpers on the day as many hands made light work.
St Mary’s had three fantastic football games at Battle of the Saints on Saturday. The day’s highlight was the impressive guard of honour and banner for our Dads to run through, with a special message celebrating our former principal, Paul Hogan.
Sadly we didn’t hoist the Paul Hogan cup in victory, going down to St Therese’s by a slender two points. The game was played in the amazing spirit which Paul himself displayed, even in his last game two short years ago. Again, this day isn’t possible without the generous support of our community, all helpers on the day and our generous sponsors.
