Years 11 & 12 

It has been an incredibly exciting and busy term 3 at MGC so far and doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon. We started the term considering subjects and pathways for 2025 for all year levels and have continued the term enjoying the special weeks different areas offer.

The Sound of Music: A Spectacular School Musical 

Our school musical, The Sound of Music, has been nothing short of spectacular! I was lucky enough to watch both cast 1 and cast 2 and it is incredible the talent and passion we have across every year level. The cast, crew, and orchestra have put in an extraordinary amount of effort, resulting in performances that have captivated audiences. The energy and talent showcased by our students were truly remarkable. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the staff who worked tirelessly behind the scenes and to the many members of the MGC community who came out to support the show. Your enthusiasm and dedication have made this production a resounding success. I am still singing along to the songs!

Science Week Highlights

The last couple of weeks have been a whirlwind of scientific exploration and excitement! Our Year 8 students delved into the world of quirky experiments and misconceptions during the "Bad Science" sessions. Year 7 students had a hands-on experience with live reptiles, making for an unforgettable encounter. The bake sale was a sweet success, and the science movie lunch was a success. Our science trivia event tested everyone’s knowledge and sparked friendly competition. A big thank you to our Science domain and all the students and staff who made Science Week a tremendous success!

Book Week Kicks Off 

This week, we're diving into the magic of literature with Book Week! We've been thrilled to welcome authors straight from the airport, ready to share their stories and insights with our students. Their visits promise to inspire and ignite a passion for reading across all year levels. 

Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. We look forward to more exciting events and achievements in the coming weeks!
