Project Princess is an initiative to support young girls in surrounding communities. Students from our Mission Sisters group will team up with primary students from Eddie Rice Camps and take them shopping at Vinnies providing cost-free dresses and accessories for these girls.

Hot Chocolates are $2 or bring your own cup and pay $1.50.

Please note that hot chocolates will not be available from the Canteen for breakfast on Tuesdays.

2024 October School Holiday Program

The 2024 October School Holiday Care program has been arranged, with full details available by clicking on the link below. Spaces fill up quickly, so we suggest that you enrol your child(ren) as soon as possible to avoid missing out.

Our Holiday Care program is designed to be fun, stimulating and enjoyable, providing children an opportunity to explore the world around us and have fun in the process. Holidays are a time for children to relax and engage in different experiences and our program has been carefully designed with this in mind. Bookings are made through the Parent Portal. If you need assistance with access to the Parent Portal, please contact Student Services via email or by calling 6216 7900.

Excursions are a key part of our Holiday Care program, however there are some excursions where 3-5 year old students will not be able to attend. See the program for more details.

Groovy Gardeners Update

While we might not be enjoying all this wet weather, our garden patches are soaking it up!

Our gardeners have been busy the past couple of weeks adding a few more seedlings and plants to the flower patch and some spinach seedlings for the veg patch. The girls also nourished the seedlings with diluted ‘worm juice’.

Cadence kindly bought some packets of seeds - carrots and flowers - which were planted. The gardeners happily welcome plant donations, which can be dropped off to the College Office.

Kiss and Drop

A reminder to all parents and carers who use the Kiss and Drop zone in Quorn Street to adhere to the following points so that all our students are kept safe in the area.

  • Please enter via the Earl St side of Quorn St (University end) and move to the furthest available spot to allow other cars to come in behind you. This means turning left only into the area and not making a right hand turn into the zone or accessing the zone from David Avenue (please see attached map).
  • Before school, students need to be fully dressed so that they exit the car promptly from the left hand passenger side.
  • Upon exiting the zone drivers are to only make a turn left on to Quorn Street, proceeding to Nelson Road.
  • Vehicles are not to be left unattended in the area. The Kiss and Drop Zone is not a parking bay. If a student is not waiting in the zone when their parent/carer arrives, parents/carers are asked to do a lap of the block.
  • If you are collecting your child in Quorn Street and are not using the Kiss and Drop zone, please ensure that you do not park on or over the Children’s Crossing.
  • All students must cross at the Children’s Crossing and we ask all adults to model this behaviour as well.
  • Phones and other devices can be a distraction for pedestrians, affecting their ability to cross a road safely. We ask that students, parents and carers do not use their devices whilst crossing the road or in the Kiss and Drop zone.
  • Drivers are reminded that Quorn Street is a 40 km/h zone with electronic signs either end of the street indicating the hours that this speed limit is enforced.
