Student Achievements

JATNET Senior Speech Competition

Last week, Zali Elliott (Year 10), Rebecca Walters (Year 9), Sofia Hollingsworth (Year 10) and Miranda Gillie (Year 9) were selected to take part in the Tasmanian JATNET Senior Speech Competition held at Rosny College.

The students had to prepare and memorise responses to up to 22 pre-determined questions and the judges would select a set number to ask during the competition, requiring the students to comprehend what was asked and respond accordingly.

Congratulations to all four students who were exceptionally well prepared and we are thrilled for Rebecca who was awarded First Place in the Year 9 division. Congratulations also to alumni Aaliyah Onwuegbuzie (Class of 2023) who attained Third Place in the Year 11/12 TASC Level 2 Category.

Tennis Achievement

Congratulations to Zola Case-Boag (Year 10) who recently attended National Academy training and participated in the International Tennis Federation tournament in Singapore.  

As part of her ongoing training, Zola has been awarded a National Academy spot for additional training in conjunction with Tennis Australia.
