Arts Festival 2024

Arts Festival - Friday 6 September, 3.30pm - 7.00pm

Our students are getting excited about showcasing their talents through performances and exhibitions and our annual Arts Festival

There will be Music, Dance and Drama performances across several stages, an Art Gallery featuring work by students from Kinder up to Year 10, and food and drink options.

All students will be participating either as performer, artist, designer, or at the very least, audience member supporting their peers. The Arts Festival is a chance to celebrate the artistic endeavours of all students.

A performance schedule for Music, Dance and Drama items can be viewed by clicking on the link below. Please remember that times of performances are indicative only and can run ahead or behind the time stated. Also, there may be changes made to the program in the lead up to the event. Keep watch on the College's Facebook page for the most up-to-date version so you can plan your afternoon/evening.

Our Years 3-6 students are asked to assemble in their classroom 20minutes before their class item is due to begin. Staff will organise with students what time they will be required back in rooms.

Our Early Years students (ELC, Kinder Prep, Year 1 and Year 2) will be supervised after school until their item begins. Parents and carers are asked to pack extra food so that they have an afternoon snack. The students will be dismissed after the conclusion of their performance, and school bags may be collected from their classrooms or ELC.

Everyone is encouraged to look at the artwork on display, watch some other performances and take in the sights and sounds of the afternoon/evening.  Extra teachers will be on duty from 3.05pm – 3.30pm.

Secondary Students who are performing need to ensure they are neatly presented in their full College Winter uniform for musical items, and in appropriate performance costumes for drama and dance items.

Please contact Student Services on 6216 7900 or via email info@mountcarmel.tas.edu.au or your child’s class teacher if you have any questions.
