Victorian President's Report

Tina King - APF Victorian President

After several weeks of much-needed leisure, I have had the opportunity to disconnect and recharge, allowing me to return this week feeling both inspired and refreshed. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the entire APF team for their dedication during my absence. In particular, I want to express my gratitude to Wendy Powson for stepping into the role of Acting President, to Phillip Banks and Wayne Burgess for managing an increased member support caseload, and to Jenna for her exceptional handling of member inquiries and needs. Their collective efforts ensured a seamless continuation of our work, and I am deeply appreciative.

Traveling offers more than just the opportunity to visit and explore new places and cultures; it also provides valuable perspective and deepens our appreciation for the diversity of the world.  Importantly, it also instils a renewed sense of gratitude for the things we often take for granted at home, reminding us of the value and comfort in our own lives.

We have a busy period ahead, particularly with our upcoming Annual General Meeting and Seminar scheduled for Friday, October 18. Please mark this date in your calendar as we look forward to seeing many of you there. Following a series of forums and consultations held across the state, the EBA team will be preparing a draft log of claims, which will be distributed to the membership next term for feedback.
