CROSS COUNTRY SKI DAY AT LAKE MOUNTAIN:

On Friday 9th August a group of Yr. 5 & 6 students travelled to Lake Mountain for a day of Cross-Country Skiing @ lake Mountain. It was the first time for many of our students at the snow and an amazing opportunity to do some cross-country skiing at Victoria’s closest Alpine Resort. The students had a 1.5hrs cross country lesson run by one of the instructors at Lake Mountain. They learnt how to successfully move on their ski’s, turn and stop. They did some tobogganing towards the end of the day. I know many of the students will remember this experience for many years to come. Many thanks to Ms. Legault and the parent helpers who assisted on the day, without their support we wouldn’t be able to run days such as these.

 

 

YEAR 4 CAMP AT MT EVELYN DISCOVERY CAMP:

We had a fantastic week at Mt Evelyn Discovery Camp, with 4KK, 4MH & 4YC attending camp Mon – Wed and 4AP & 4KT attending camp Wed – Fri. The students had an amazing time pushing themselves to the limits on new and challenging activities. It was great to see so many students stepping outside their comfort zone to try something new, being independent and working together with their classmates.

Activities: Giant Swing, Flying Fox, High Ropes, Bush Cooking, Orienteering, Hut Building & Silvan Dam Walk.

Many thanks to Mt Evelyn Discovery Camp for providing us with such a great program, the Yr. 4 teachers/ES staff for all their support and also to all our parent helpers who gave up their time to assist our students.
