Netball Victoria School Championships Finals

Congratulations to coach Sally Montano and our girl’s netball team that competed in the Netball Victoria School Champs Finals last Tuesday in Melbourne. The girls did very well on the day and should be very proud of their efforts. Thanks to Sally for all her hard work coaching the girls and to the parents and grandparents that supported the day.

Colac Division Golf Tournament

Unfortunately we had to postpone the Colac Division Golf Tournament last Friday due to the weather conditions. We hope to find a date in Term 4 that all primary schools can agree with. A big thank you to the parents/grandparents who were supporting the event by walking with students over the course on the day.

(More information will be sent home when a date is confirmed)

LAPS

This week we are lucky enough to have Kelly Costin from the Little Athletics Program for Schools (LAPS) come to our school for two consecutive days (Tuesday and Wednesday) to educate the students on the many skills that are offered at Little Athletics including running, jumping and throwing. This will take place during the student’s sports class.

Colac’s Little Athletics program will start on Saturday 5th October at 9:00am at the Colac Central Reserve and finish on Saturday 22nd March (it is a 19 week program). It is a great program for children to learn many skills. More information on how to register, the costs involved etc will be on next week’s newsletter.
