This week our Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students commenced their intensive swimming program at Richmond Pool. We look forward to seeing their progress across the 10 day program.
We thank the University of Melbourne for their kind gesture in acknowledging our staff who continue to support their pre service teachers. This year we thank Ms Bridget O'Connor and Ms Maddie Brown who mentored the Teacher Candidates through their placements within our school. We have continued to enjoy our partnership with the University, particularly the Melbourne Graduate School of Education (MGSE) who have continued to be ranked No.1 in Australia for Education, and also currently ranked in the Top 10 universities globally.
This term, a group of Year 3 and 4 students have been taking their learning to the next level with an extension group focused on problem-solving challenges linked to their classroom learning. Working in pairs, they’ve been brainstorming, strategizing, and testing their ideas to solve each task. The group was buzzing with excitement as the students collaborated and shared their thinking, supporting each other to overcome tricky problems. It’s been wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they tackle each challenge head-on. Well done to our young problem solvers for their hard work and focus.

Over the last few weeks the children have been busily completing assessments for the end of the year school reports. It is a busy time in the classrooms as teachers are trying to get through teaching the remainder of the Victorian Curriculum, while assessing children's learning. Whilst this data gives us a good indication of student learning over the semester, this should not be a stressful time for any child. If you have any questions about any of the end of year assessments please see your child's class teacher or feel free to come and chat with me.
We look forward to sharing student progress and achievements with you at the Student Led Conversations which will be held in Week 9 on Monday 2nd December for Year 5 and 6's, and in Week 10 on Tuesday 10th of December for Years Prep 1, 2 and 3 . The children's School Reports will be emailed home on Monday 9th December.
If at any time you would like to chat about the learning at Trinity, or you have any questions or concerns about your child's learning, please do not hesitate to see your child's teacher, or myself.
