Congratulations to Jess Oakey & Mark on the safe arrival of their baby boy, Rory, born November 6. Rory has settled in well, loving all the cuddles. Welcome to the CHPS family Rory!
Farewells and Welcomes
At this time of the year, we begin to farewell staff who are moving on from Croydon Hills Primary School and welcome those who are joining our community in 2025.
We are wishing all the best to:
Dee Scagnetti who is retiring after serving our community as a parent-helper and employee in the canteen since 2003.
Teachers Jessica Lewis, Chelsea Blaha, Katherine Tapscott, and Alex Hudson (from Term 2) are growing their families in 2025 and will join Jessica Oakey and Natalie Ridely on family leave.
Teachers Ashleigh Griggs (Holy Spirit Community School) and Ashleigh Sweeten (Lysterfield Primary School) are continuing their professional journeys elsewhere in 2025.
Teacher Jayne Beith who has been a tremendous member of our community this year teaching PE and Sport whilst Laura Yorke has been on leave. Jayne will be staying on in our school community as a relief teacher.
Teacher Libby Browning (again), has filled many part-time teaching positions since retiring in 2018. Libby will continue her involvement in our community as a relief teacher for "the odd day here and there". 😉
The school is welcoming back maternity leave staff Jess Toomer-Smith and Tayla Richards (nee Alderson), and officially welcoming back Laura Yorke to PE next year, we are also excited to welcome:
Experienced classroom teachers Debbie Biemers (Heany Park PS), Lisa Jonga (Amsleigh Park PS), and Rachel Barnes (Wonga Park Primary School).
Experienced Indonesian teacher Jess Curcio (Ringwood SC) who will partner Zoe Webster as she reduces her time fraction to four days in 2025.
Jessica Crea as our new Canteen Officer.
Colour Run Fun - Thanks CHAPs!
Last Friday our community was awash with colour for our Annual CHAPS Colour Run.
Once again, a huge thank you to the school’s active parent community and the school’s parents’ association CHAPS for delivering such a fun-filled event.
The Colour Run, along with CHAPs' other fundraising this year has raised $31,747 (with our Christmas BBQ still to come)!
CHAPS’ fundraising will go towards our 2025 Playground Project, the installation of our new boat playground!
