All Things Hub

Springvale Rise Primary School Community Hub

All Things Hub

We have been quite active at the Hub! Last week, we had the privilege of hosting Nathan Lambert, the Parliamentary Secretary for Children, along with local MP Eden Foster. In collaboration with staff, parents, local government agencies, and early educators, we engaged in a roundtable discussion focused on the early years and ways to enhance our services. The valuable feedback we gave has the potential to influence future policies. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together and highlight the positive initiatives the government is implementing for our children, as well as to identify areas for improvement. We concluded the session with a delicious meal provided by our local Springvale restaurant, Warong Mummy. Eden Foster was so moved by our community that she returned the following Monday to present a gift to our school.

Furthermore, our Burmese and Rohingya community members participated in a workshop on Elder Abuse Prevention, organised by South East Community Links and the Ethnic Communities Council Victoria. The session raised awareness about this important issue and provided guidance on where to seek help for anyone who may be affected. For more information, please follow this link:
