Highlights from Heights Campus

The past couple of weeks have been full of exciting learning experiences and activities across all year levels as we begin to approach the end of the term.

The Foundation students have been thrilled to share their space with the school rabbits, now housed in the Junior Learning Centre (JLC). The presence of the rabbits has been a wonderful way to promote responsibility as students take turns caring for them. Inspired by their furry friends, many students have been writing creative and factual pieces about the rabbits, showcasing their growing writing skills.

The JLC students attended a delightful puppet show performance of Cinderella. The show was not only entertaining but also included an important  message about being your best self, leaving students inspired and entertained.

In the Middle Learning Centre (MLC), a group of students participated in a Lunar New Year Art Project. They created stunning painted artworks that will form part of a larger Lantern Installation, set to be displayed at Multicultural Place in Springvale from January to February next year as part of the Lunar New Year celebrations. It’s exciting to know their work will be enjoyed by the broader community!

Teachers from our  Senior Learning Centre (SLC) hosted a Cyber Safety session for parents, equipping them with practical strategies to support their children in navigating the online world safely. Meanwhile, grade five students have been busily preparing leadership speeches, honing their communication skills and confidence as they vie for leadership roles in 2025.

A major highlight of the week for our senior students was the Springvale Rise Cup! Teams from each campus came together at the Heights Campus to compete in friendly matches of netball, soccer, and cricket. It was fantastic to see students showcasing excellent collaboration, sporting values and school spirit throughout the event. The day was filled with excitement and enjoyment, making it a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.

As the term draws to a close, we remind all students to prioritise good sleep and self-care so they can make the most of their final weeks in their current year levels. Let’s finish the term strong and celebrate all the hard work and achievements of this year!
