Mt Evelyn Camp

Last week, our Year 4 students experienced their very first camp, and it was packed with excitement and adventure! From thrilling outdoor activities to team challenges, everyone gave it their all and had an incredible time. The students embraced the opportunity to try new things, build friendships, and create fun memories. Here's a glimpse into their unforgettable journey!

My favourite part of camp was the giant swing. It was scary and fun all at the same time! When you got to the top it looked a lot higher than it was from the ground. I also really enjoyed the Bolognese we were given for dinner. I loved camp and I’m very excited to do it next year. ~ Walt, 4A

School camp was pretty fun but night was hard, I think I only got an hour of sleep! But besides that, my favourite thing was free play. ~ Noah, 4A

My favourite activity was the giant swing because it was really fun and a little scary, because if you go to the very top and people were counting 3, 2, 1 then you had to pull the rope. When you pull the rope, it was really scary at first then it became REALLY fun. ~ Ava, 4A

My favourite thing about camp was the activities. Our group, the koalas, did the flying fox first, then we did wildlife encounters, then lastly we did hut building. In the morning we had breakfast and did another activity, low ropes. My favourite activity was the flying fox! ~ Jarrah, 4A

This year I went to Year 4 camp. I was in the Wallabies group. My favourite activity was the giant swing. I enjoyed staying in the cabin! I was cabin number 5 with some of my friends. ~ Nabil, 4A

The best part of camp was sleeping over in my cabin because it felt like one big sleepover with my friends. ~ Evie, 4B

My favourite thing about camp was the giant swing because I loved how the tension builds inside you at the top but when you drop to the bottom you feel really good. ~ Aubrey, 4B

My favourite thing about camp was the giant swing and playing hockey. I liked how my tummy felt when you dropped down on the giant swing. ~ Willow, 4B

School camp was very fun and our cabins were a good choice, I had all my best friends. I enjoyed playing gaga-ball there. ~ Angus, 4B

I really loved the flying fox. I was scared at first but the person who was helping me said ‘a lot of people get scared’. I had to hold on to the zip line and then very slowly walk off, it was so fun. I wanted to do it again. ~ Ben, 4B

I liked sleeping in the cabin with my friends because I got to talk with them late into the night. ~ Remy K 4C
