Grade 1 and 2
Students will work in teams and use their knowledge of push and pull to investigate how different amounts of force impact the movement of objects.
Grade 3 and 4
Last week we learnt about changing states of matter and how industry uses this knowledge when recycling. This week we are applying our learning in a hands-on task where we are changing the states of matter of different materials and moulding our own new product.
Grade 5 and 6
Students will finalise and present their research projects on their chosen natural disaster to their classmates. They will also upload the presentation and animation to Showbie to allow for viewing at home.
Prep PE
Students will participate in several collaborative games and activities, with the focus on revising their catching and ball striking ability. They will be encouraged to monitor their technique for both skills.
Prep Sensory
In Sensory Gym this week, there will be a selection of activities and exercises aimed at boosting hand-eye coordination, balance, and core strength
Grade 1 and 2
This week will be an exciting session of collaborative games and activities, where we hone our catching and ball striking skills. Students will be encouraged to work together in a fun and collaborative manner.
Grade 3 and 4
This week, students will continue to develop the key skills of Tee-Ball, culminating in their participation in a modified, inclusive game of Tee-Ball.
Grade 5 and 6
This week, students will continue to develop the key skills of Tee-Ball, culminating in their participation in a modified, inclusive game of Tee-Ball. They will be challenged to consider match play strategies, such as bunting, base stealing and double plays.
Prep
Students will be using a ‘light and dancing’ brushstroke when painting a Christmas tree. They will incorporate different tints of green and embellish it with sequins and sparkles.
Grade 1 and 2
Students will be finishing off all their outer space artworks ready to display in their classrooms during the African Drumming afternoon.
Grade 3 and 4
Students will be completing their paper quilling Christmas tree and attaching it to their card ready to gift to a special person.
Grade 5
Students will be finishing off their paper collage Picasso face, focussing on asymmetry, bold colours and quirky features.
Grade 6
Students will be finishing their one-point perspective name drawing, adding light and shade to their 3D letters.
All students will be rehearsing their two Christmas songs for the Christmas Carols Performance on Monday 9th December. They will learn the songs and the actions that go with them.
Grade 1 and 2 students have their final African Drumming Workshop. Their community performance will take place at 4PM on Thursday 28th at WPPS. Families are encouraged to let us know how many people are attending by completing the form on this linkwhich was previously emailed.
