Our Prep - 2 students have been busy creating imaginative artwork, starting with vibrant haunted house scenes using oil pastels. Now, they are exploring the unique qualities of chalk pastels, learning some techniques to enhance their artwork: using the flat edge of the chalk to create texture, layering, blending, and incorporating templates to add precision to their designs. These techniques allow students to experiment and develop new skills with this expressive medium.

Meanwhile, Grades 3-6 students are deeply engaged in their street art-inspired collaborative murals. This project has given students the freedom to choose their preferred mediums, resulting in a diverse range of artistic styles and textures across the murals. Each piece reflects the students’ creativity and individuality, making these murals an exciting addition to our visual arts program. We look forward to showcasing these
