French

Bonjour Moriac families!

The students have been continuing their hard work in French this term and are creating some amazing work in their lessons! Thank you to all students and families for your ongoing support of the French program.

The grade Prep students have been working hard to learn vocabulary about what is important to them at school. We have played language games and speaking and listening activities to learn the new vocabulary, and this week they have been learning to talk about their likes and dislikes. See below the vocabulary we have been learning these past few weeks:

The Grade 1/2 students have begun making their own version of the Three Little Pigs in French and English. Some students have changed the story slightly to put a creative spin on the tale, all the while using as much of the key vocabulary as they can. I am excited to share these with you in a few weeks time when they finish.

The 1/2 cohort will be doing their first French Common Assessment Task on the vocabulary they have been learning at the end of Term 4. They will be assessed on their speaking, listening and reading of the vocabulary.

See below for the key words we are learning again:

The Grade 3/4 and 5/6 cohorts have been busy working on their grammar. They have been learning about prepositions, adjectives and conjunctions to build sentences to describe their houses. Below is a fun song that we watched to listen to the different prepositions we may use in our descriptions.
