2024 MACKILLOP ART EXHIBITION
It is with much excitement that we wish to announce that Imogen was the winner of the Upper Primary School Spiritual award last Friday night. Congratulations Imogen, the time and effort put into creating the masterpiece ‘Second Chance’ is evident, including the connections to the theme Behold, I make all things new. I would also like to acknowledge our other entrants in the competition (Bella H, Kelsee B, Rylee M and Maddie M) who should also be very proud of their skills and talents in producing wonderful art, worthy of being on display. We encourage you to look at the exhibitors' works of art, either online or in person by visiting the Cathedral.
The online Exhibition is now live! The physical display will be available for viewing until Saturday 26th November.
INTERNATIONL BUY NOTHING DAY - 25TH NOVEMBER
How often do we buy something, not because we need it, but because it looks like a cool thing to have? Ads on social media platforms do not help either. Impulse buying with the click of a button is simple and easy, we don’t even need to leave the house to get it. Buy Nothing Day is observed annually on the day after Thanksgiving. This day is part of a movement against consumerism, urging the world to change their purchasing habits, to consume and produce less.
