TEAMWORK

Dear Parents and Carers, 

The week beginning the 18 November 2024, the school-wide focus will be on the character strength of teamwork. Building on our previous explorations of gratitude in term two and kindness in term three, this term we are highlighting the importance of working together towards shared goals, supporting one another, and celebrating our unique strengths in a team.

Throughout the week, students will engage in activities designed to help them build teamwork skills, from cooperative learning tasks in the classroom to fun group challenges that encourage communication, collaboration, and contributing to a team. We will be discussing the value of teamwork across various settings— in the classroom, on the playground and at home.

To extend this focus beyond the school day, there will be a family connection task. This is a chance for families to come together and work as a team on an activity at home. The task is designed to reinforce the ideas students are learning and give everyone a moment to connect over shared teamwork values.

We look forward to seeing the impact of this focus on teamwork both in and out of the classroom. Thank you for being an essential part of this journey.
