As we approach the joyful season of Christmas, it is a wonderful time for us as Catholics to reflect, prepare, and connect with our community. This season invites us to prepare our hearts for the birth of Jesus Christ, emphasising the values of love, compassion, and service to others.
At St. Margaret Mary’s, we are embracing this spirit of giving through our Christmas Appeal. Each grade is asked to donate items to support the less fortunate in our local community. This initiative aligns with the teachings of Christ and reinforces our commitment to living out our faith through action.
The Christmas Appeal is an opportunity for us to contribute to the well-being of others. By donating items, we can help create a sense of hope and joy for families who may be struggling during this festive season. Below is a list of items that each grade is asked to donate:
Thank you Miss Azar and the students in the Mini Vinnies group for their faith in action initiatives at StMMs. A lot of work goes into making these events run smoothly.
As the first teachers of your children it is important to talk about the notion of giving at home. Giving and serving others is such an important part of who we are as Catholics.
Simple acts of kindness such as offering a helping hand, listening, sharing a warm smile, or inviting someone to play, are simple actions the children can do each day.
Blessings to you and your loved ones,
