Instrumental music

Ensemble rehearsals began this week. If your son plays an instrument and is interested in joining an ensemble, please email me at cspannenbu@cns.catholic.edu.au asap. The rehearsal schedule is below:

A reminder that times given above are starting times. All students should arrive at least 5 minutes beforehand. Early is on time – on time is late.

Instrumental lessons also began this week. If your son is interested in learning an instrument, please email me at the address above for more information. We offer lessons in voice, piano, guitar, strings, woodwind, brass and percussion.

Music Camp

Thecamp is at the end of Week 5. We have invited a clinician, Mr Craig Kennedy, from Brisbane to work with our students to help prepare them for next term's eisteddfod. Mr Kennedy is Head of Music at St Rita’s College, Brisbane and works in the Young Conservatorium Program as well as the State Honours Ensemble Program (SHEP) around the state. It will be a fantastic weekend of music making and team building to get our groups to gel.

2025

Our program is, as always, busy and vibrant with many opportunities for performances. We entertain at assemblies, perform in productions and music nights as well as provide liturgical music for the College. Our students have plenty of performance opportunities.

This will be added to during the year, so please reread it each edition to check that you are abreast of all that is happening, and make sure you diarise these dates.
