Environment Club News

The Environment Club is currently in the progress of planting out an area outside K12 to create a mini-forest full of native plants. Come along on Thursdays to help out! Meet outside K5 in the first five minutes of lunchtime.

Specialist Recycling Facilities

We have set up recycling boxes for pens, empty whiteout containers and markers (in The JLC, 400 open area, and Library), it would be appreciated if you could drop them into those boxes when they are finished. The more kilos of pens we save from landfill, the more money we can win to improve our school environment.

In addition, please drop any batteries, bottlecaps, and bread tags you have used at school or at home, at the library instead of the general rubbish.

We also offer disposable coffee cup recycling in the main office, the JLC and the 505-506 atrium. Please bring a reusable cup, but when you forget, make sure you recycle it and reduce waste to landfill.

Can You Help the Environment Club?

We are excited to be expanding our environment club’s gardening program, creating a hands-on experience that fosters curiosity among our students. However, we need your help!

Do you have old gardening equipment, native or fruiting plants cluttering up your house? We kindly request that you consider donating them to EDSC.

If you have something you would like to donate, please email Nicola Ritchie at Nicola.Ritchie@education.vic.gov.au

Thank you for your kindness and support.
