Measure: a system to find the height, weight, capacity or even amount of certain objects.
Compare: to note or describe the similarities or differences of.
ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING
Water Play Capacity Exploration
Materials: Various containers (cups, bowls, bottles), water, measuring cups.
Activity: Provide your child with a range of containers and ask them to compare their capacity by filling them with water. They can guess which container holds the most or least water and then test their predictions by filling each one with water and using measuring cups to compare.
Learning Goal: Understand the concept of capacity by comparing how much liquid different containers can hold.
