Course counselling for Yr 9

Year 9 students have started the exciting process of selecting their subjects for Year 10 and ultimately, considering their individual pathways for the senior years and beyond.

This is a significant transitionary period for year 9 students as they enter the senior years and move away from home groups and a set curriculum.

The information session included details of how the senior school operates and students were given time to consider the options for next year and discuss with friends and teachers. The next steps will be to select subjects online and attend a course counselling day on Friday 22 August and discuss the final choice with a teacher and a parent or guardian. 

Parents will be able to select a time to come in to the school (these will be held at CB Smith) on that day with their young person and be a part of the process. If a parent is unable to attend, the students may come by themselves. There will be no set classes on that day and students will only be required at the time of their interview.
