We often hear people talk about Wellbeing – but what does this mean really?

Just like a house has four walls to support the roof, how we feel physically and emotionally, as people, can depend upon 5 key factors. According to 5 Ways to Wellbeing the factors are:

1. Connect – make a connection to someone – have a chat, have a cuppa or chat over the fence.

2. Be active – just a simple walk or whatever you can do just helps your body to feel some energy.

3. Keep Learning – It might be just something random – or something you are curious about.

4. Be Aware – what is something that you’ve noticed today – could it be the spiders’ web covered in dew early in the morning, or the colour of the sun just as dawn is breaking through.

5. Helping Others – this can be as simple as making a cup of tea or coffee for someone, or helping carry the groceries into the house.

Doing these things helps to reduce anxiety and depression.

What’s one thing that you could do today to work towards improving your own wellbeing?
