Bunnings Sausage Sizzle

On Sunday we were fortunate to run the Eltham Bunnings Sausage Sizzle. Thank you to Kimberly for all your work in preparing for the day and making it so smooth for all the BBQ helpers on the day. Thank you to all the families that helped to cook, serve and greet customers on the day. It has been a long time since we have been able to gather enough people to run the event and we appreciate the support very much. Thank you to Alan for coordinating the day and keeping the sausage and bread supply up. We are unsure of the final profit at this stage, but the stall was a huge success and has raised the final portion of the funds required to instal shade sail over the assembly court.

Assembly Court Shade Sail

As mentioned above we have raised sufficient funds to allow us to install shade cloth over the assembly court. We are now working with the installer to commence the project as soon as possible. I will share updates on the timeline for this and am hopeful that this will occur prior to Summer.

District sport events this week

This week our students have represented our school at division level in footy, netball and soccer. At each of these events our students represented our school wonderfully showing all our school values of Cooperation, Achievement, Respect and Empathy. It is always pleasing to hear that our students participate responsibly in community events and make our school community proud. All teams put in an outstanding effort this week. Congratulations to all teams on making it to division level competition. We are proud of you!

An extra Congratulations to our Soccer to team as they are progressing to regional level!

Lost Property

Last week a group of parents sorted all the lost property into their size tubs. They are freshly stocked with a range of items. If you are missing some items, please have a word to your children to check the lost property zone near the hall or feel free to pop in yourself and have a look.

Assembly Dance Performance Last Week

Last Friday we were treated to dances from our year 3/ 4 and 5/ 6 students. It was a wonderful showcasing of the hard work that our senior performing arts teacher Chrissy Jedrys, and the students have put into the dances. The children were enthusiastic and put all their energy into a colourful and joyful performance for us.

Removal of rooms 21 and 22

The removal of rooms 21 and 22 (relocatable classrooms that run along Lower Rd) will occur between weeks 4 and 6. The permit for the road closure of Lower Rd will dictate when the removal takes place. We will communicate the road closure date and the impact this will have as soon as we have a date.
