Gardening Project

Our Year 3 and Year 4 students are about to start a hands-on learning experience rooted in sustainability, biological science, and healthy living.

Students will be planting a variety of seasonal vegetables with their intent to eventually harvest these crops and use them in student-created recipes, tying the experience into their broader Inquiry learning unit. This project will benefit our students immensely by providing them with meaningful, real-world learning opportunities in an outdoor setting. It’s a chance to foster not only practical gardening skills but also a deeper appreciation for nature, sustainability, and healthy food practices.

We are ever so grateful to Oasis Horticulture in Devon Meadows, who generously donated a huge amount of seedlings for this project.

Respectful Relationships Curriculum

In Term 4, students are embarking on Topic 7 and 8 of our Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships Social and Emotional Program. Topic 7 challenges stereotypes and discuss the influence of gender norms on attitudes and behaviour. Students will learn about the issues relating to gender identity and the importance of respect within relationships.

Topic 8 builds on the effects of gender-based violence and focus on respectful relationships. Students will develop the skills needed to solve problems and set boundaries in relationships. They develop peer support and help seeking skills that can be applied in response to varying relationships. More information about what is covered can be found here:

2026 Foundation Transition

Our staff are busy preparing for our Foundation 2026 cohort, with transition sessions beginning next term. Throughout these sessions, students will meet staff from the school and will participate in a range of activities, so they can begin to become familiar and comfortable in our new setting. They will have the opportunity to form new friendships and relationships with students and staff.  All transition sessions over the next few months will have a different focus. The more sessions children participate in, the more comfortable they will feel when beginning Foundation next year. We look forward to seeing these students become part of our Clyde community.

The dates for our Foundation transition sessions are:

Thursday 6th November 1.00pm-2.00pm

Planning for 2026

As we begin planning for the 2026 school year, it is important that we have accurate information about student enrolments.

With the opening of two new primary schools in the area (Kulap Primary and Balambalam Primary), we understand that some families will be in those school zones and therefore closer to the new schools.

If this is the case for your family and you intend on moving to either of these new schools, please inform our office staff via email at clyde.ps@education.vic.gov.au

If you know that your child/children are transferring to another school, please notify our office staff as soon as possible.

Father's Day Stall and Picnic

The weather was great for our recent Father's Day Picnic, and we appreciate all of the special guests who could attend to share a picnic with their child/ren. Photos of the picnic are our Father's Day Picnic page and below are photos from our stall. Thank you to the parents who assisted with our stall.

Footy Day Parade

Our Footy Day sausage sizzle raised a total of $1590 which will go towards the Big Day Out for our Year 6 students. Please see the Footy Day Parade page for some amazing pictures.

Congratulations Namo!

Recently, our very own Namo represented Victoria at the Australian Cross Country Championships. Namo also had a very successful day competing at the School Sports Victoria Track & Field Selection trials. If selected for the event, she will compete at the Australian School Sports Australia Track & Field Championships being held in late November in Canberra. We're so proud of your Namo!
