Welcome back to Term 3.

It is always exciting when students return to boarding for the start of the term, and they are mostly eager to share the adventures they had over their break. It seems many students took the opportunity to be gainfully employed in various areas over the holidays, which is great to see.

Thankyou

Firstly, I would like to thank Heidi Armstrong for her amazing efforts in filling in for me while I was absent. She did a great job of keeping everything running smoothly in my absence, it was very much appreciated. Thank you to all the staff who assisted Heidi during this time, many of whom took on extra shifts when required.

What's Been Happening

This week, we have had lots of sports training and games in town, as well as some additional practices here on-site.

Mr Jones is starting the pool competition next week and we have 84 students who have put their names forward to compete for the title of 'Best Pool Player in Boarding'. We have 38 girls and 46 boys aiming to become the 2025 champions. It should be a fantastic competition—good luck, everyone, and let the games begin!

Water Usage

The College's water usage has been astronomical in recent times.

After extensive investigation in and around the campus for any possible water leaks over the summer months, we have concluded that it is simply a matter of too much water being used. I suspect that this is primarily due to shower times blowing out. This has been somewhat confirmed when we hear students admitting to taking 30 minute showers.

Can we please ask for support from parents in encouraging students to make a concerted effort to drastically reduce their shower times?

We have also requested that the dorm monitors encourage their fellow students as well. Thank you in anticipation.
