Work Experience

A Valuable Step Toward the Future

Reservoir High School Year 10 Work Experience: A Valuable Step Toward the Future

Year 10 students at Reservoir High School have recently completed their Work Experience placements—and the results have been inspiring. From offices and hospitals to mechanics and retail stores, our students stepped out of the classroom and into the world of work, gaining firsthand insights into potential careers and developing key life skills.

Work Experience helps students build confidence, improve communication, and understand the expectations of a professional environment. It’s not just about deciding on a future job-it’s about discovering strengths, interests and opportunities that shape long-term goals.

For parents, it’s a chance to see your child grow in independence and maturity. Supporting them through this journey not only strengthens their sense of responsibility but also encourages open conversations about their future pathways.

We thank all participating employers and families for making this program a success, and we look forward to seeing the impact this experience has on our students’ next steps.
