Principal Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome to the end of Week 3, a third of the way through the term. Time is flying this year.

We have started to compile some of our data sets here at school for our students. The main areas we now have access to are NAPLAN, Attitude to Schools, and our Semester 1 Teacher Judgements.

NAPLAN results have gone home with each child. There are plenty of moments for families to be proud of their learners in the data. Any students that may need a helping hand are being catered for by our intervention teams and through our day-to-day planning at school. If you have any concerns, please contact your class teacher or make a time to chat with me.

I am looking forward to sharing some of the highlights with School Council on 19th August, and then with you before Term 3 ends.

Our Parent Survey will be shared with you all on the 18th of August and will run for a month. Those results are shared in Term 4 with the community. The more input, the more valid the feedback. Please consider taking the time to share when the email lands in your inbox.

Successes

Some quick wins would be students sharing that there have been big improvements in the area of student voice and agency.

NAPLAN for Grade 5 students is above similar schools across the board, with no students needing support in Reading and Numeracy.

NAPLAN at Grade 3 has strengths in Spelling and Numeracy, both areas we have focussed on as a School. There are always goals to be reached and our main one for our Grade 3 students will be to help improve their writing at the top end of the scale. Watch this space.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Best wishes,

Craig
