Science

This year we welcome Ms Harriet Elleman to the Science department, Ms Elleman will be teaching Chemistry as well as Years 7 and 10 Science.

Our first excursion for the department took place on February 15 when the Year 12 Chemistry students traveled to Charles Sturt University for the day. Students were given an opportunity to use CSU facilities while working with University staff.  Thank you to Mr. Harland for taking these students.

On April 8, a selection of Year 10 students will take part in the Science and Engineering Challenge. The challenge will be presented by The University of Newcastle Inland Rail Skills Academy in cooperation with Riverina Water, Transgrid and Nixons Engineering. We thank these organisations for their support.

These students will be given the opportunity to work alongside other Riverina students to design and build a range of structures including bridges, electricity distribution systems, bionic hands and buildings. We wish them well.

A Forensic Science Workshop hosted by Education Interactive will be visiting our College in June. This workshop is for our Year 9 and 10 students. More information will follow.
