Physical Education

Prep: In March, our Prep students dedicated their efforts to mastering locomotor skills, particularly running and skipping. They delved into the safety features of running and practiced synchronising rhythmic steps to improve their skipping process.

Grade 1-2: In grades one and two, students focused on refining their underarm throwing skills. They practised underarm throws at targets placed at varying distances to enhance accuracy. Underarm throwing was seamlessly integrated into engaging activities such as target relays and circuits to reinforce their proficiency in this fundamental skill.

Grade 3-4: Students in grades 3 and 4 have been immersed in football training. They've been honing their abilities in handballing and kicking with a football. AFL Victoria trainers provided additional expertise, enriching the students' understanding of these skills. Through collaborative efforts, students have been consolidating their learning in this area.

Grade 5-6: Students in grades three through six have been immersed in basketball skill development. They've been mastering various dribbling techniques such as using both their dominant and non-dominant hand, executing push and pull moves, and practicing crossovers. To improve accuracy during gameplay, shooting drills have been integrated into their training regimen.
