Relay for Life

What a blessing Relay for Life has been in our community. This student led event has run for a number of years, raising thousands of dollars for Cancer Council Victoria.

The Secondary Senate, put in hours upon hours of their free time, including lunches and recess, to organize this fantastic event. A massive thank you to all involved including parents and families supporting by attending this event.

And what a night it was; beautiful weather, fun activities and dunk tank, head shaving, yummy food and great live music all contributed to a fantastic night. Once the sun went down, there was a commemorative time for reflection on the impact of cancer on loved ones.

Anzac Day Dawn Service at Doreen Cenotaph

We are thankful to again be part of the 2024 Anzac Day Dawn Service in Doreen. The service will take place on Thursday 25th April commencing at 5:55am at the Doreen Cenotaph / Wall of Remembrance (corner of Painted Hills Rd & Armidale Rd, Doreen).

Our College Captains and Principal will be laying a wreath and handing out sprigs of rosemary on pins.

Australians traditionally wear sprigs of rosemary as a symbol of remembrance. It’s often pinned onto a coat lapel, near the heart, or held in place by medals. The act of wearing rosemary helps us remember and honor those who served and died in wars.

So, on Anzac Day, let us wear this humble herb with pride, knowing that it connects us to our history and the sacrifices of our servicemen and women.
