Harmony Day
We have celebrated Harmony Week with lots of difference activities that have taken place through until Thursday.
All students were given the opportunity to enter the Harmony Day Logo competition, which ran all week.
Cultural games were played at lunchtime on Tuesday with parents coming to assist.
Some classes shared food from their traditional culture to share on Wednesday.
Parents and Caregivers have had the opportunity to visit their children's classrooms to share the culture. This has been through food, language and dance all week.
On Thursday students were invited to wear cultural clothing or orange. We joined with Ellenbrook Primary School for a Cultural Performance Celebration. The schools performed several dances together including the Mexican Hat dance & a Bollywood dance. We were then entertained by students who performed cultural dances. To finish the morning the students sang I am Australian with the second verse sung in Noongar.
Students have enjoyed Buddy Class activities today where they have worked together to find similiarities and differences between each other.
