In the Spotlight

Hi OGPS, 

My name is Mr Horbury or Mr H or even Mr Strawberry a lot of the time and I am the PE teacher at OGPS.

I am 21 years old and soon will be turning 36. I am originally from Ballarat where I spent the first 30 years of my life. I moved to Geelong in 2018 with my wife Samantha and our dog Bruce. 

Since moving to Geelong my wife and I have had two beautiful daughters, Sylvie who is 3 and Goldie who just turned 1. 

I have been a teacher for 12 years with 2024 being my 6th year at OGPS. This is my second year in PE and I am absolutely loving it. 

Outside of school I really enjoy spending quality time with my family, heading to the beach or going on adventures. I still enjoy playing football, even though I am way past it. I barrack for the Bombers in the AFL and love watching the Detroit Lions in the NFL. 

Hi there! I'm Mel Roberts and I'm a member of the office team here at OGPS, where work closely with Jenny, Lara & Jade. 

I'm very happily married to Mr. Roberts and together, we're blessed with three beautiful daughters, Ava, Mila, and Isla, all of whom attend OGPS. I absolutely LOVE animals, they hold a very special place in my heart. At home we have Vader, our gigantic Newfoundland, Bonnie, our sweet golden retriever and Gracie, our cute cat. Recently, we welcomed a horse named Monty into our lives and we've all fallen very much in love with him. 

I am happiest spending time with my amazing family and with my animals.
