Junior School Leaders

On the 13th of March our school leaders attended the Youth Leadership Australia Conference in Melbourne. It was a fun day of meeting other schools, listening to guest speakers and getting to know more like-minded people. The guest speakers were Wil Massara, Trent Dennis-Lane and Skye Hughes and some of the things we learned from them were about being yourself, taking opportunity, empathy, resilience and self-worth. We also did many fun collaborative games and challenges to get to know others from different schools like rock paper scissors and asking connection questions to start a conversation. A big highlight of the day for me was when lots of kids all ran up onto the stage and started doing the Nutbush together when coming back from our breaks.­­ Overall, it was a very amazing opportunity and I learned a lot from it.
