Performing Arts

What an incredible, joy-filled and music-packed year it has been in Performing Arts! From the very first term, our students were busy shining on stage, starting with our Preps proudly showing off their singing voices and dance moves at the end of Term 1 assembly. It was the perfect way to launch a year full of creativity, confidence and fun.
Throughout the year, our talented choirs performed beautifully at school assemblies and out in the community, including performances at Greensborough Plaza and Rosanna Views Aged Care. We also enjoyed our Singing Soirées for our singing students, exciting music concerts featuring our bands and Senior Choir at Montmorency Secondary College, and of course our fabulous Christmas Concert… a true celebration of talent, teamwork and joy.
The whole school learnt the Cha Cha Slide and came together to create our very own music video - such a fun and memorable experience that truly captured our school spirit.
One of our biggest highlights was our school taking part in the State School Spectacular for the very first time ever! And in exciting news, The State School Spectacular will be aired tonight at 7pm on Channel Seven in Victoria, live streamed nationally on 7plus, with the full extended version available on demand at www.7plus.com.au.
I am also thrilled to announce our Performing Arts student leaders for 2026:
- Performing Arts Captains: Pearl Keogh and Amelia Hope
- Choir Captains: Isabelle Poon, Mia Runco and Georgia Taylor
Looking ahead, 2026 is already shaping up to be a big one, with our whole school production in Term 3.
On a personal note, I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our families for your wonderful support of the Performing Arts program this year. One of my favourite moments was watching our students on stage at the Christmas Concert… smiling, feeling confident and, most importantly, having an absolute ball.
Thank you for an incredible year. Have a fabulous Christmas and a safe, happy summer break!
