Deaf Education Hub

What a year!! 

The Deaf Hub has had a wonderful end to the year, filled with hands on learning, leadership and community connection. Highlights included an exciting STEM visit to Charles La Trobe University with the Quantum team, Deaf Sports Day with students from other schools and the continued success of our Deaf Hub Playgroup. We celebrated our current Deaf Hub Captains, Lucia and Alexis, and are excited to welcome Jose and Nelly as our 2026 captains. We also farewell the McGinley, Hope and Patalot families as they move to new schools next year. A big thank you to Kate for her incredible leadership of the Deaf Hub, as she moves into a whole school curriculum leader role and returns to the classroom in 2026. Looking ahead, Dan will be the main point of contact for the Deaf Hub from Prep to Year 6. We wish all our families a happy Christmas and look forward to seeing everyone in the new year.

Team Vic Superstars Shine in Canberra

We are incredibly proud of two Deaf Hub students who represented Team Victoria at the National Athletics Championships in Canberra from November 28 to 30. Competing in multi class events, Steve and Aaron showed outstanding dedication and sportsmanship, with Steve earning gold in the medley relay and silver in the combined relay, and Aaron taking bronze in the 4x100 metre relay and silver in the combined relay. Both students also achieved strong individual results across track and field events. They represented our school and the Deaf Hub with pride, well done Steve and Aaron on an amazing achievement.
