Happy Holidays

As we come to the end of another school year, we want to thank our students, families and wider community for being such an important part of life at our school. This year has been filled with learning, growth, challenges, laughter and many moments of pride, and we are so grateful to share that journey with you.

To our students — thank you for the kindness, curiosity and openness to learning you bring to our school every day. You continue to remind us why what we do matters. We hope the holiday break brings you time to rest, play, explore, and enjoy special moments with the people you love.

To our families — thank you for your ongoing partnership, trust and support. Schools thrive when families and staff work together, and we are deeply appreciative of the connection and care you show our community.

A very special farewell to our Year 6 students. As you prepare to take your next big step into secondary school, we want you to know how proud we are of the young people you have become. You leave behind a legacy of leadership, friendships and memories, and you will always be part of our school story. We wish you every success as you move forward with confidence, kindness and courage.

As the holidays begin, we encourage everyone to stay safe, look after one another, and make time for fun, rest and connection with family and friends. We hope your days are filled with laughter, sunshine, good food and meaningful moments together.

We wish all our families a very Merry Christmas and a happy, safe and relaxing holiday period. We look forward to welcoming everyone back next year and continuing to teach, support and care for your children as they learn and grow.

Student-Led Lunch Clubs: Learning, Leadership and Giving Back

This year, we have been incredibly proud of the student-led lunch clubs that have taken place at our school. These clubs were truly created by students, for students — from the very first idea through to running the club at lunchtime.

Our students showed remarkable initiative and commitment as they worked closely with the Assistant Principal to bring their ideas to life. They planned their clubs from start to finish, wrote and delivered speeches at assembly, designed posters, made announcements to remind their peers, and spent time preparing and creating the items they would sell. This was a huge undertaking, especially for such young students, and their dedication was outstanding.

Through their hard work and teamwork, the students raised an impressive $44 — an incredible achievement that reflects both their effort and their generosity. Even more inspiring was their decision about what to do with the funds raised. The students thoughtfully voted to donate the money to the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Centre, showing empathy, compassion and a strong sense of social responsibility.

These lunch clubs were a wonderful example of student voice, leadership and real-world learning in action. We are so proud of the initiative, persistence and kindness shown by our students, and we look forward to seeing how these experiences continue to shape their confidence and leadership in the years ahead.
