Celebrating an Incredible Year at Golf Links – 2025

As the year comes to a close, it is clear that 2025 has been a year of momentum, pride and purposeful growth at Rosanna Golf Links Primary School. Throughout the year, our students have embraced new challenges, our staff have continued to refine and strengthen practice, and our community has come together time and again to support learning, creativity and connection. It has been a year that reflects the collective commitment we share to doing our very best for every child.

Across our classrooms, teaching and learning remained at the heart of all we do. A strong focus on high-quality, explicit instruction in Literacy and Numeracy, supported by professional learning, PLC collaboration and coaching, has ensured teachers were well equipped to respond to student need. This consistent approach has supported learning growth and helped students build the skills, confidence and independence needed as they progress through their schooling.

Our commitment to inclusion continued to be a defining feature of life at Golf Links in 2025. The Deaf Facility remains a proud and integral part of our school, enriching our community through inclusive practices, AUSLAN, Deaf Studies and a shared understanding of belonging and advocacy. The ongoing implementation of Disability Inclusion reforms has further strengthened our ability to plan, adjust and respond to the diverse needs of our learners.

Beyond the classroom, 2025 was a year filled with unforgettable experiences and celebrations. Students showcased their talents through the STEM Festival, music concerts and community events, including bush dances and performances. Our sporting teams achieved outstanding success, with strong participation across a range of sports and multiple teams progressing to regional competitions. We also celebrated success in the Science Talent Search and marked an exciting milestone with our first ever involvement in the State Schools’ Spectacular.

This week, we proudly celebrated our Year 6 Graduation on Tuesday evening, a special occasion that honoured our graduating students and the journey they have taken through primary school. It was a fitting way to acknowledge their growth, resilience and readiness for the next chapter of their learning.

We were also thrilled to see significant progress made on our new playground this year. Designed with inclusion, creativity and active play in mind, the space is nearing completion and is on track to open for students in 2026. Once complete, it will provide a much-loved environment that supports physical activity, social connection and joyful play across the school.

None of this would be possible without the dedication of our staff and the ongoing support of our families and community. Thank you for making 2025 such a successful and memorable year at Golf Links.

Staffing Update for 2026

As we look ahead to 2026, we would like to share a small number of staffing changes within our Golf Links team.

We are delighted to welcome back Meg Buchanan, who returns after completing volunteer work abroad. Meg brings with her a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives gained through this valuable work, and we look forward to the positive impact this will have within our school community. We also warmly welcome back Claire Waring, who returns from her sabbatical. Claire’s return is a much-anticipated one, and we are excited to have her rejoin the team in 2026.

At the same time, we farewell several valued staff members. Abbey Fletcher will be leaving Golf Links after accepting a position within the independent sector, following a significant change in her personal circumstances. Abbey has made a meaningful contribution to our school, and we thank her for her dedication and commitment to our students and community. We also farewell Bianca Wielgosz, Susan Skrlj and Marian Deville, each of whom has contributed greatly to the life of the school. Their professionalism, care and service to students and families has been deeply appreciated.

While change is always bittersweet, we are incredibly grateful for the impact each of these staff members has had at Golf Links and wish them every success in their next chapters.

2026 Start Date for Students

Students will commence school on the 28th of January in 2026. We can’t wait to see their smiling faces.

Take care
