Principal Reflections

Dear Parents and Carers,
School Advisory Council Nomination
The Catholic School Advisory Council provides an opportunity for members of the school and parish community to support the mission of Catholic education in the school. Working with the Principal and the Parish Priest, the members of the Council and its committees provide guidance and support to the wider school community. The School Advisory Council meet once a term during the school year. We welcome nominations to join the School Advisory Council.
If you are interested, or know of someone who is keen to join our advisory group, please complete the attached form and email it back to the school before Monday, 9th March.
Parents and Friends Meeting
The P and F Association recognises and values the role that parents/carers play in the education of their children and aims to strengthen the partnership between family, school, parish and the wider community for the benefit of the faith formation, development and learning of all students in the school. We focus on building a friendly, welcoming community for all.
We encourage everyone to become involved in the P & F and join us for our Annual General Meeting next Tuesday, 17th February at 5.30pm in the Primary Staffroom. At this meeting, we will invite nominations for the various roles within the committee.
Enrolling NOW
As a proud Catholic Professional Learning Community within the Armidale Catholic Schools system, St Edward’s School is a place where faith, learning and well-being come together.
From Kindergarten to Year 6, our students are nurtured in a safe, inclusive environment where high expectations, strong relationships and genuine care shape every day.
Our dedicated teachers and educational assistants work collaboratively to ensure each child is supported and challenged to reach their full potential. We are committed to academic growth, well-being, and the faith development of each student, equipping them to be the best versions of themselves.
With contemporary learning spaces, rich sporting and extracurricular opportunities, and a strong partnership with families and the parish, St Edward’s is more than a school; it is a community.
We warmly invite families to discover the difference at St Edward’s. We are now accepting enrolment applications for 2027.
Until next week,
Keep Smiling,
Alison Hatton
