News from the PC!
Welcome to 2026! The PC has lots of fun activities planned for this year, including Friday treats, the Garage sale, Multicultural day, EOYP, Uniform shop, CJC Trivia Night, Bastille Day/talent show and lots more!!!!
To get the year off to a great start, we are looking for class convenors, a great way to get involved in the school and your class. The role includes acting as a liaison between the teacher and the parents/carers’ of children in the class for school related matters (excludes teacher-student/parent related matters). Acting as a representative of the Parent’s Committee to communicate PC activities / fundraising efforts and to provide an avenue for feedback from the class to the PC Leadership. Pass on information to parents/carers as directed by PC Leadership/ Head Convenor and School via class WhatsApp and email lists.
Specifically, we are looking for convenors for the following classes:

- Prep B
- Prep C
- Prep D
- 1/2 A
- 3/4 C
- 4 F
- 4 G
- 5/6 B

General News
Child Safety: A reminder that all parents/carer’s who wish to volunteer at CJC must have a Working With Children Check – it is free for volunteers and you can apply online here: https://service.vic.gov.au/services/working-with-children
Second Hand uniform Shop: CJC’s second-hand uniform shop opens twice per term. This is a great place to pick up CJC uniforms and school bags. If you have CJC uniforms that your child\ren have grown out of and are in good condition, please consider donating them to the uniform shop. The donation box is at the bottom of the eastern stairs in the front building.
Friday Treats: Friday Treats are back in Term 1 2026! Both pain au chocolat ($4.50) and zooper doopers ($2) will be on sale. Stay tuned for details on when each class will be rostered on to help.
CJC Families Facebook Group: Did you know that we have a CJC Facebook Group called CJC Families? The page is used to inform our community of CJC Events, sell 2nd hand uniforms, find a babysitter and more. The page is private, and you must be a CJC community member and answer the questions to join.
