Welcome Back Coffee Morning

It was lovely to see lots of parents and carers enjoying a coffee on the junior deck this morning. The weather was perfect and there was a wonderful hum of conversation among those who gathered for a sip and a chat!

We have been very proud of the way that our entire community has settled into 2026, with classes now well into very calm and productive routines, supported as always by our incredibly welcoming and friendly community network.

School Council Election

Next Wednesday evening will be the final meeting of the 2025 School Council as we conclude the business of the 2025 school year.

Toys & Games from Home

There seems to have been an increase of students bringing toys and games from home, with the intention of playing with these in the playground. While we understand that inviting a friend to play with a special toy can be a great ice-breaker, or be a comfort and reminder of home; the risk of damage, loss, or disagreements around sharing generally outweigh any benefits.

As such, we ask parents and carers to discourage students from bringing toys or games from home, unless an agreement has been made with a teacher or school leadership regarding items that are brought for therapeutic purposes.

If necessary, teachers may choose to take any toys or games brought to school to keep them safe, to be returned directly to parents/carers at the end of the school day.

Thank you for your cooperation and support.

Road Safety

We would like to remind all families about the importance of road safety before and after school.

Earlier this week, a concerning near miss was observed when a young student ran out from behind a parked vehicle and crossed the road without stopping to look, narrowly avoiding a passing car. The designated school crossing was nearby.

We have also seen a number of recent instances of students stepping onto the road without checking. While students are regularly reminded to use the school crossing, this serves as an important reminder that children closely observe and model adult behaviour.

We kindly ask families to:

  • Always use the school crossing

  • Model safe road behaviour by stopping, looking, and listening

  • Supervise younger children closely near roads

  • Avoid distractions such as mobile phones when crossing.

We will continue to reinforce these messages with students at school.

Thank you for your support in keeping our community safe.
