4W

Year 4W has had a great start to the school year with their new classroom teacher, Wiley. (New for them, I've been here for ages.) Students have been busy settling into new routines, getting to know each other, and starting their learning with enthusiasm and curiosity. Our Start Right program helps us recognise again the ways of doing things in our school setting and we have discussed the importance of integrity to our behaviours.
Most excitingly we also begun lessons in the Kitchen Garden Scheme with our new kitchen garden teacher, Andrew. Students have enjoyed working in the kitchen, learning how to care for our garden, and practising teamwork while getting their hands dirty. Thanks to our smiling helpers volunteering their time.
Another exciting highlight has been meeting our class stick insects, Dolly and Kenny. Students are learning how to look after them and observing how they live.
Year 4W is looking forward to a fun and engaging year of learning ahead.
