STEM

In STEM, students have been exploring the idea of a fair test — making sure only one thing is changed at a time so results are accurate. All classes investigated what makes a fair test and then independently designed and carried out their own experiments. Our senior students tested which ball bounced the highest when dropped, while our junior students explored which ball rolled the furthest. It was wonderful to see students thinking scientifically, making predictions, recording results and discussing their findings. This week, all classes have also been investigating the fascinating concept of air, using hands-on activities to explore how air takes up space and affects the world around us.
