It's always lovely to welcome students and families back to school after the holidays and to see them begin to settle into the new school year. In the first 7 days of school, all students participate in our Positive Start Program. During this time, staff work with the students in their class and specialist programs to establish classroom expected behaviours and routines. There is a focus on building relationships and feeling safe and comfortable in the classroom.
Today you will have received a Compass Post to ask you to complete your permissions for 2026. Please go on to Compass to complete these. If you need assistance you are welcome to phone the office and make a time for some assistance to access Compass.

Student Support Group meetings will be coming up in Week 5 of this term. These meetings provide you with an opportunity to meet with your child's classroom teacher to discuss goals and supports for your child in 2026. You will be able to book a meeting time through Compass. We will let you know when the bookings are open.

Please remember to drive at no more than 5km/hour when moving through our driveways at the front of the school. Safety of our children, families and staff is very important to us. Please help us to demonstrate our Care and Be Safe values in the car parks and driveways.

Your child's classroom teacher will be in touch with you to decide whether you would like a paper copy Communication book or to receive emails via Compass. This communication helps you to know what has been happening in your child's day. We ask teachers to aim to communicate with you around 3 times per week. These messages are usually just a short summary of the day. If you have any questions you want to discuss with the teacher, you are welcome to make a time to speak with them in person or by phone.
