News from the PC!

The PC wishes all CJC families a safe and happy break over the summer.

Thank you to all the class convenors, library volunteers, garden group volunteers, Friday treat sellers, cake bakers, food makers, event organisers and event volunteers throughout 2025. Without the volunteers, none of our fun activities and school fund raising would be possible. Looking forward to 2026, we will have Mother’s and Father’s Day events, trivia night, Bastille Day Celebrations, the EOYP and so much more!

Please let us know if you have any thoughts for how we can make events even better so that we can use feedback from CJC families to evaluate the offering and ensure that we have the right mix of rides, food offerings and activities in 2026.

Second Hand uniform Shop: CJC’s second-hand uniform shop opens twice per term. This is a great place to pick up CJC uniforms and school bags. If you have CJC uniforms that your child\ren have grown out of and are in good condition, please consider donating them to the uniform shop. The donation box is at the bottom of the eastern stairs in the front building. 

Friday Treats: Friday Treats will be back in Term 1 2026! Both pain au chocolat ($4.50) and zooper doopers ($2) will be on sale. If you miss the delicious pastries over the summer break, why not visit Reverie Café in Prahran for a tasty treat - www.reveriecafe.com.au – thank you Pierrick!

CJC Families Facebook Group: Did you know that we have a CJC Facebook Group called CJC Families?  The page is used to inform our community of CJC Events, sell 2nd hand uniforms, find a babysitter and more. The page is private, and you must be a CJC community member and answer the questions to join.

Child Safety: A reminder that all parents/carer’s who wish to volunteer at CJC must have a Working With Children Check – it is free for volunteers and you can apply online here: https://service.vic.gov.au/services/working-with-children
