Welcome to the 2026 School Year
This morning we welcomed a number of new children to St Paul, including our new Reception children. Our other children are returning after a long break from school. Some nervously, some reluctantly, some calmly and some with great excitement! Whatever their circumstance, we want children to feel loved and cared for at St Paul.
Thank you so much to all of our community members for joining us this year and caring for one another to make St Paul a place where everyone belongs. We are glad you’re here!
Leila Mattner, Principal
Chapel and Assemblies will continue to be livestreamed on our closed group on Facebook each week. You can find this by searching ‘St Paul Lutheran School Blair Athol Live Streaming’. Families are welcome to come along to watch in the Church or livestream from home. Worship is each Wednesday at 9am in the Church and Assemblies take place on Friday mornings at 9am in the Hall, beginning from Week 6. Opening Chapel will be held next Wednesday at 9am.
We are looking for parents/caregivers who would like to be a class carer for 2026.
A class carer is someone who supports their child’s classroom teacher along with the other class carers to care for the class and families. They help to connect with families, provide a listening ear and welcome new families to St Paul. They may also choose to organise family or parent social events. Popular examples include a stay and play afternoon on the big park for your child’s class or year level. If you are interested in being a Class Carer this year, or wish to find out further information, please email jrobinson@stpaulba.sa.edu.au
We are excited to welcome back our volunteers this year and would love to invite any new or interested volunteers to become a registered volunteer with us here at school. If you wish to be a registered volunteer at St Paul Lutheran, you can speak with someone in our admin team and a pack can be emailed or sent home with your child. All registered volunteers require a valid WWCC clearance and need to complete the Valuing Safe Communities and RRHAN training. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Bec Mattner rmattner@stpaulba.sa.edu.au
We would like to invite you all along to our 2026 Parent Information Nights in Week 3. These nights provide important opportunities to hear from your child’s teacher about how your child’s class will work with routines, expectations and more.
See the flyer below for dates and times.
