Year 11 and 12

The end of Term 2 and the beginning of Term 3 have been action-packed and rewarding for our students. Semester reports were released, providing students with valuable feedback and greater clarity about their results.
Our VM students participated in real job interviews at the Global Learning Centre in Sunbury, gaining valuable experience and confidence in presenting themselves to potential employers. They have also participated in multiple excursions into the city.
Finally, we were thrilled to celebrate the achievements of our students at our two Presentation Balls, which were both wonderful evenings.
We are now into Unit 2, and we encourage all our students to continue to work hard, stay engaged and enjoy the coming months.
Year 12
We would like to congratulate all our Year 12 students on a courageous and determined start to Term 3. You have shown resilience, maturity and a strong commitment to each other as you navigate the final stages of your school journey. Your ability to support your peers, maintain focus and keep moving forward is something to be proud of.
As we work towards the finish line, it is important to maintain the high standards we know you are capable of. Please remember:
- Uniform Policy – Full and correct school uniform must be worn at all times.
- Mobile Phone Policy – Phones must remain switched off and stored away in your lockers during the school day, from 9.00 am to 3.10 pm.
Punctuality – Arrive at school on time and ready to learn. Remember to sign in and/or out through the Front Office when you arrive late or leave early.
The VTAC application process has now begun. If you have not already started, please ensure you make time to explore your options, create your profile and begin your application well before the deadline. Staff are available to assist with any questions you may have.
There is plenty happening in the coming weeks, so mark these important dates in your calendar:
- Warm and Fuzzy Day – Monday 11 August, Period 3. A day to celebrate kindness, encouragement and connection.
- Exam Marathon – Commencing around Week 5. This is an excellent opportunity to consolidate your knowledge and practise under exam conditions. Teachers will begin to provide you with information about their subject-specific Exam Marathon.
VCE VM Thrift Shop – Support sustainability, entrepreneurship and community spirit through this student-led initiative, while helping to support your fellow peers.
With only five weeks remaining before your final SACs, now is the time to stay sharp, focused and consistent in your preparation. Every lesson, every study session and every bit of effort counts towards your success.
This year has asked a lot of you, and you have stepped up with courage, kindness and determination. Keep leaning on each other, offering encouragement and remembering that you are not alone on this journey. We believe in you, and we are proud to walk alongside you in these final weeks.
Meet the Duxes Evening
We would like to thank all students and their families who attended the Meet the Duxes Evening. This inspiring event gave this year's students and their families the opportunity to hear directly from previous duxes and high achievers about their journeys, strategies and insights into staying motivated.
The evening enabled our past high achievers to inspire our up-and-coming graduates. We thank all families and students, past and present, for helping to make this evening such a great success.
Congratulations - Student Spotlight
We would like to congratulate Kira Smith, who received a 2026 Marrung Scholarship Award on Tuesday 23 June.
The scholarships recognise students who demonstrate high potential to succeed in their chosen pathway.
Well done, Kira, and all the best for the remainder of your studies!
Warm regards
