Cross Country:

Congratulations to all of our students who participated in last Friday's District Cross Country at Sulman Park. It was a wonderful day, and every single one of our students competed with great sportsmanship. We have 8 students who will now be representing Bathurst District at the WSSA Cross Country in Orange on the 12th of June.

Congratulations and good luck to Matilda Chapman, Sophie Dutton, Blake Simmons, Darcy Watson, Hugh Dutton, Rhys Simmons, Phoebe Hemming, and Fiona Radstone.

Touch Football:

Yesterday, the Boys Touch Football team travelled to St. Stanislaus College for Round 2 of PSSA Touch Football Knockout against Bathurst West PS.

At halftime, Bathurst West was leading 3-0, but our team showed great determination and resilience in the second half to even up the score at 3 all. The game was exciting, and in the final 30 seconds, we scored, winning the game 4-3. It was a nailbiter to watch that had both staff and parents on the edge of their seats.

We appreciate the parents for their encouragement and support as they watched the boys play.

Peach Shield Gala Day:

Last Wednesday, I was lucky to watch 45 students participate in the Rugby League Gala Day at Jack Arrow Oval. We had five boys teams and one girls team competing, with each team playing three games. It was a fantastic day and all of the students played with great enthusiasm and showed outstanding sportsmanship. Thank you to the parents, Mr Ellis and Mr Murphy who helped out with taking charge of the teams.

Soccer:

Good luck to the Soccer teams who play against Oberon PS in Oberon tomorrow. The girls play at at 10:00am and the boys game will commence at 11:00am.

Professional Learning:

On Tuesday evening the staff all participated in some professional learning based on Student Wellbeing. At the end of last term students completed a virtual game called Rumbles Quest which measured their wellbeing by asking them questions while they completed the quest. Staff analysed this data on Tuesday and as a school worked together to establish a starting point for supporting the students in our school with their wellbeing. Commencing Term 3 staff will implement in classrooms a student wellbeing program called Bounce Back.
