PRAYER
National Reconciliation Week Prayer
Loving Creator,
We gather in your presence during National Reconciliation Week, mindful of the theme, "Now More Than Ever." Help us to reflect on our past, acknowledge the truths of our shared history, and seek your guidance in our journey towards reconciliation.
We pray for understanding and respect. Open our hearts and minds to the rich cultures and traditions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. May we listen with compassion and learn with humility from their wisdom and stories.
We pray for healing and justice. Grant us the courage to confront the injustices of the past and present. Help us to seek justice and healing for those who have suffered and continue to suffer from the impacts of discrimination and inequality.
We pray for unity and peace. Inspire us to build relationships based on mutual respect and trust. May we walk together, hand in hand, as we strive to create a society where everyone is valued and included.
We pray for action and commitment. Guide us to take meaningful steps towards reconciliation. Empower us
to be advocates for change, ensuring that our actions reflect our commitment to a fair and inclusive future for all Australians.
Loving Creator,As we journey together during this special week and beyond, may we always remember that "Now More Than Ever," our efforts towards reconciliation are crucial. Help us to be instruments of your peace and love in our community and nation.
Amen.
Sacramental Program
We congratulate the following children as they continue on their faith journey through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Our students Maddie D, Harper C, Bodhi B and Tommy J will joined Georgia and Ayla K in their Sacramental lessons commencing on Monday. We thank the Father Jophin and the St Mary’s Parish for their support of these children. Please keep these children in your thoughts and prayers.
Dear Lord, You called us to know you, to love you, to trust you, to grow with you.
Fill us with your holy spirit, that we may follow the path of Jesus and find joy and happiness as we walk together.
My family and my parish family are with me as I make these sacraments.
